Welcome to the website of the Gamma Pi Chapter of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Incorporated at Florida International University. LTA was founded in 1975 on the campus of Kean University in Union, New Jersey. Since then, it has successfully served as a support group for women and minorities in the community, university, and professional life. It is an organization of strong, determined, and empowering ladies living through their principles of Unity, Love, and Respect as they impact the community and their lifelong sisterhood in a positive way. Along with its national status, it is an established non-profit organization. Lambda Theta Alpha is proudly the FIRST and LARGEST Latin sorority in the nation, yet is “Latin by Tradition, not by Definition,” welcoming all ethnicities and backgrounds.
